Since September 2018 our school has been involved in another Erasmus + programme, which is connected with activities within the frames of Action K.A2 – School Partnership – “Good School For The 21st Century”. The coordinator of the project is Mrs. Alena Krtikowa from Levice (Slovakia). The other perticipants come from Eger (Hungary), Istanbul (Turkey), Boskovice (The Chech Republic), Postojna (Slovenia) and Ruda Sląska (Poland).

The project duration is 24 moths (1st September, 2018 – 31st August, 2020).

The objectives of the project

The aim of the project is to develop the key competences of the students to enable them facing the challenges of the 21st century – necessary at work and in everyday life. Working on various activities, the students are going to increase their language, civil and organisational skills. They will use modern media to get and sort the information, cooperate in a team, manage a group and improve creativity. Emphasising the respect to other cultures and the tradition of our own nations is another important objective of the project.

The above mentioned objectives will be the subject matters of 6 partner schools meetings, organised in: Ruda sląska, Istanbul, Eger, Levice, Bojkovice and Postojna. 2 teachers and 4 students from each school will participate in those meetings. Respective materials (in the form of Power Point presentations, videos, publications, etc.) will be brought by the partners tothe meetings, making it possible to acquire necessary knowledge and competences. Students and teachers will exchange this knowledge and compare their experience during workshops.

At present we are getting ready for the first meeting which will take place in our school. We will welcome our guests on 20th November, 2018. The schedule of the meeting is as follows:

  • presenting our cities and schools,
  • reporting on activities taken in our countries within the frames of the European Year of the Cultural Heritage,
  • taking part in workshops devoted to planning a journey through partner countries,
  • discussing the role of patriotism in the past and nowadays,
  • getting to know (by means of interactive games ) chosen objects placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List,
  • presenting our national and regional heritage in the form of national dances,
  • sharing experience and knowledge connected with school management (teachers).

The coordinator of the activities in our school is Mrs. Małgorzata Rzepka (Maths teacher).
